The annual Lymington Meet will take place on Saturday 11 May 2019. The event incorporates racing against the Royal Lymington Yacht Club (RLymYC), a drinks reception and a supper for club members and REYC crews.
The racing format involves an Intra-REYC race in the morning to determine the REYC team for race against the RLymYC for the Carlier Trophy in the afternoon. Entries for the morning’s racing is encouraged from any members who wish to take part.
The Dan Bran Pontoon, http://www.lymingtonharbour.co.uk/visitor-walk-ashore-berths, has been booked. All the REYC yachts will be berthed together to better generate camaraderie and facilitate interaction between serving and retired members.
RC(Offshore) and the Offshore Racing Secretary will coordinate the crewing of the REYC yachts. Volunteers for the delivery legs to and from Gosport as well as racing would be well received! The delivery legs are a great opportunity for Day Skippers to get some experience and we picked this weekend as the tides are favourable for the delivery and return legs.
For those members who may wish to be involved in a more leisurely fashion attendance is invited for cruisers to join the racers on the Dan Bran Pontoon at any point from Friday afternoon onwards.
RC(R) is happy to coordinate “singleton” bids from members wishing to crew REYC yachts with the Racing Secretary. Early returns from those wishing to crew REYC would be most welcome.
Those who wish to attend should are asked to complete the Application, link below, and return it to Rear Commodore (Regions) (email@example.com).
